- Chronic kidney disease
- Autoimmune diseases (eg Systemic lupus erythematosus, Crohn’s disease)
- Previous Cervical Surgery (LLETZ)
- Haematological diseases (eg Von Willebrands, Thrombophilia)
- History of previous miscarriages and history of endometrial death
- Vaginal birth after caesarean section (VBAC)
B) Conditions that occur during pregnancy
- Gestational diabetes
- Pre-existing hypertension and gestational hypertension
- Pre-eclampsia
- Twin pregnancies
- Premature rupture of membranes
- Obstetric cholestasis
- Intrauterine growth restriction
