Dr. Efterpi Tingi offers a comprehensive service in the field of obstetric care that includes monitoring during pregnancy, childbirth and postpartum. The pregnancy itself and childbirth are unique experiences that belongs exclusively to women therefore women’s wishes should be respected and supported throughout.

Dr. Tingi has been trained in Obstetrics and Gynecology entirely in the UK at well-known University Hospitals (> 7000 births / year). She has acquired an extensive experience in managing high-risk pregnancies and she obtained the certificate of Advanced Labour Ward Practice from the Royal College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists (RCOG). She is also experienced in performing operative vaginal birth, such as forceps and ventouse delivery as well as vaginal birth following caesarean section (VBAC).

She strongly believes in women’s centred and individualised care, since every pregnant woman and every fetus are unique, while at the same time, her priority is to provide a high level of obstetric care, based on evidence-based guidelines published by the Royal College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists (RCOG) and the National Institute for Health Care Excellence (NICE). In this way, the provided care meets international standards and at the same time unnecessary examinations and interventions are avoided.

Dr Tingi’s goal is to achieve vaginal birth without any medical interventions whenever these are not required. If you have had a caesarean section in the past, you may want to try for a vaginal birth (VBAC) in your next pregnancy, instead of a planned caesarean section. The choice of the mode of delivery is always based on personalised past medical history history and the progress of pregnancy.
